International Day of Languages

International Day of Languages
There are around 200 languages in Europe alone, and Poland itself has several different means of communication including Silesian in the west, Kashubian in the north, and the mountain tongue of the south.
The aim of this annual event is to promote understanding and share cultural experiences, by means of exploring the languages of the world and encouraging visitors and residents of Krakow to take part in workshops and more. Organised in association with the Osterreich Institut, the Institute of Italian Culture, the Goethe Institut, Cervantes Institute, French Institute and British Council, alongside European bodies and the citys Jagiellonian University, there will be a wide range to choose from at venues around the city.
