DISCUSSION: EUROPE'S LAST PRIMEVAL FOREST

The Białowieża Forest is the last remaining primeval forest in mainland Europe, an inspiration for artists to create works for Unsound 2017. Peter Cusack and Martyna Poznańska’s sound, photo and video installation involves field recordings, while Karolina Grzywnowicz’s piece is a direct response to the controversial logging of the area. Sylwia Iwanowska is an ecologist and guide at Białowieża. Together they discuss the uniqueness of Białowieża Forest, and the need to protect it. Moderated by Luke Turner.
