Wojciech Bąkowski

Wojciech Bąkowski (born 1979) Visual artist, musician and poet.

Leader of music groups CAT and NIWEA. Co-founder of the artistic group PENERSTWO. Winner of the Deutsche Bank Award and the Zachęta National Gallery of Art "Looks" in 2009. Winner of the Polityka Passport 2010 award and prizes at film festivals in Poland and in the world (eg ISFF Oberhausen, Nowe Horyzonty, OFAFA, Bucharest IEFF). Editor-in-chief of the "PÓŁMROK" magazine. He cooperates with the Stereo Gallery in Warsaw and the Bureau in New York. The life and work of Wojciech Bąkowski and his partner Zuzanna Bartoszek were presented in the feature film by Łukasz Ronduda entitled "The heart of love."
