COLUMBUS DUO

The roots of Columbus Duo go back to the early 90s and one of the first noise bands in Poland, Thing. The following years were a gradual reduction of composition and constant search for a new sound form. The result of these transformations was the avant-jazz Columbus Ensemble, and since 2002 - Columbus Duo.

At the moment when the reissue of Thing recorded in 1997 "Rudder" appears on vinyl - the Swoboda brothers after years of break are returning to the rock instrumentarium. Putting aside experiments with electronics - but not experiments at all - with the help of voice, guitar and drums they transfer the experience of recent years to a new dimension. The oscillatory oscillations give way to noise austerity. The sound search led to maximum simplicity this time. Although it is not always loud, it is always uncompromising. And again in French.

GUIDING LIGHTS

The band Guiding Lights was founded by Asia, Łukasz and Piotr to play fast, nice and loud songs. The first rehearsal took place in November 2015 in Warsaw, and the zero concert in January 2016 at the now defunct Eufemia club. Since then, Guiding Lights have played many concerts in and outside Warsaw, including at OFF Festival 2017. On the "ok for now" EP released in the summer of 2019, Guiding Lights left the song territory. The new songs are based on a prominent rhythm section, atonal guitars and reduced vocals.
