Open Door Day at the International Culture Centre
On Sunday, November 17, 2019, the 15th edition of the Open Doors Days of Krakow Museums will take place - the program will include lectures, workshops and visits to exhibitions and institutions. This year, the International Cultural Center decided to open the door of its headquarters at 25 Rynek Głowny, in the Main Square.
A special tour around the historic headquarters of the ICC has been prepared for visitors at 11.00 and 14.00. As part of the walk, inaccessible nooks of the ancient tenement house at 25 Rynek Głowny will be made available, a few secrets about the former residents of the building will be shared, and with a little luck from the terrace on the fifth floor, you will be able to see all the way to Babia Góra and the Żywiec Beskid Mountains. Waiting for parents and guardians with children, there will be educators who will share their unique bird stories.

11.00 - walk around the tenement house "Pod Kruki" with Marek Świdrak
Tenement house "Pod Kruki" is a living document of the history of the Krakow Market Square. In the past, it served as a bourgeois tenement, in the nineteenth century the Potoccy ran their salon here, until the outbreak of World War II at this address was a bank. The ICC has been operating in the building since 1991 . Subsequent architectural layers, such as medieval cellars, relics from the Gothic and Renaissance times, remnants of the nineteenth and twentieth century reconstructions which can be seen here allow you to understand how Krakow developed and changed.

12.30 - reading and art workshops for children
Why did the crows love our tenement house? During the workshops we will focus on unique bird stories, among which ravens will occupy a special place. During the workshops, we stimulate the imagination and creativity of the youngest. Classes targeted at children aged 5-10. Free admission, no earlier registration required.
14.00 - a walk around the "Pod Kruki" tenement house with dr. Michał Wiśniewski
