The Salt Mines
Good evening. I would like to know if I would be able to visit the salt mines in a wheel chair ? I have had hip surgery and find it hard to walk any distance. Thank you.

Hi Gill, thanks for your question. The salt mines have recently undergone a massive upgrade in order to make as much of it wheelchair accessible as possible - and they have done a fantastic job. However, we recommend that you book your place in advance to avoid long waits, queuing, etc. As it's so spectacular, it's very popular and can get quite busy. If you book in advance, there should be no waiting around or confusing and people there to assist and direct you as needed.
