What is a typical polish breakfast and where is the best to go for it?

Breakfast is a strange one in Poland - often it is a plate of cold meats, cheese, butter and bread - a bit like a Swiss breakfast. Also possible are things like scrambled eggs (jajecznica) - but there is almost never toast. One good place for breakfast is Cafe Europejska on the Rynek (Market Square). If you want a British breakfast or American pancakes, go to Metropolitan on ulica Slawkowska, next door to Hotel Saski.
