is it easy to get to auschwitz on public transport? would people recommend using guides??

You can take a train or a bus, which is not that difficult, or use a company like krakow-tours.com, who take you directly there from your hotel / apartment in Krakow and back, as well as sorting out the guide for you. Regards, Jabber
