The regeneration of Kazimierz continues apace, but it still retains much of its tatty, slightly bohemian charm. It is likely that in a year or so's time this whole area will be choc-a-bloc with trippers, so now is a good time to soak up the area's unique atmosphere (many Poles and expats prefer it to the Old Town). Hotel Eden is located in a charming little corner of Kazimierz, just off the historic ulica Szeroka. The owners have carefully renovated a fifteenth century townhouse. Rooms are pleasant and unpretentious, and an inviting sauna and mikweh (the only one in Cracow) are on hand if you want to unwind. The care that has gone into this restoration shows, and Eden would make a sound choice in this spell-binding area.

A wonderful week spent at hotel Eden. Breakfast very good and plentiful, Coffee facilites by reception very welcome. Will return
relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, Friendly service and wonderful location in the heart of Kazimierz.
We agree with all the kind things said about the hotel, its staff and the location over the years- so clearly Eden wins for consistency too. It's easy walking to the centre, and (in th eopposite direction) across the river to ponder the suffering of the World War II years, not missing the brilliant Galicia Jewish Museum/book & coffee shop, just round the corner, with its knowledgeable staff.
Visit 24-28 August 2008 - Quaint Pokey streets, bohemian atmosphere with jolly evening banter. A great area to stay in Krakow and Hotel Eden was great for us. Two Adults one 15 Year old daughter. Breakfast not spectacular but easily sets you up for the day. Smoked Salmon was a hit. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Cleanliness 10/10. fridge in room, en suit shower room was very spacious and had hairdryer. Staff very good at finding and arranging the bargain tours. Helped arrange bus trip to salt mines at a price I could not find elsewhere and sorted out bus times to Auschwitz (A depressing must for any trip). Local bus from bus station was very easy to sort out and cost 20z each with no hassle. No noisy nightclubs nearby, just outdoor bars and restaurants which are in keeping. Chilling to think what happened here 60 years ago but look through that. Totally recommendation. Lets hope Krakow sees sense and keeps the night clubs out of the Jewish quarter. Do the little electric car tour on your first day and be prepared to haggle. Advertised at 180z per buggy (5 people) but got it down to 160 plus a return trip back to Hotel. Driven by students who all seem to speak Fairly good English but you do need nerves of steel when they take you across main roads. DONT BE TEMPTED TO HIRE A CAR! Driving is manic!
This Hotel has lived up to it's name of perfict sirvice, comfortable rooms, enjoyable food, and a bar that is well worth looking into. If you are reading this then prove me wrong and you will know that what I say you will wish not too leave. I would like to thank the staff for helping my sister with a problum. Thank you.
Booked this hotel while on a holiday in the UK. Found it to be a very comfortable and friendly place to stay with staff that were very helpful. Would willingly stay here again. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow.
We have just returned from a five night stay at The Hotel Eden. The hotel was clean friendly and very reasonably priced. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was excellent value. Free internet access was a real bonus. I would certainly stay here again.
This is a gem of a Hotel for too many reasons to note here.Location and historical ambience are brilliant.(Ciemna Street was used in the suitcase stacking scene of the movie Schindlers's List)We walked to everything from here and would definitely stay again. Many thanks to the helpful staff.
Nice simple yet functional hotel. Mezuzah at each door - to reflect the local jewish tradition - lots of event posters on most walls.
After a day walking around Krakow, this is a good place for a nice hot shower, comfortable beds, nice clean rooms and friendly atmosphere.
I found this little GEM by chance and really enjoyed the stay. The staff were great and the owner very helpful. This is the best area in Krakow to stay and has a relaxed and historic feel to it.
Had to make emergency booking for one night in Krakow two weeks ago and the Eden Hotel provided excellent accomodation for a party of five. Rooms very clean and comfortable including excellent en-suite shower facilities. Breakfast enjoyable. Great value for money. Will definately stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Eden in 2002. We went at a time when there was a daily arrival of Jewish travellers so we were unable to use the restaurant for our breakfast but the nice staff put us in a room apart where we could be more comfortable. We were invited for dinner in a nearby restaurant for the inconvenience caused. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the area. We have very good memories of our stay.
I stayed at Hotel Eden about 2 years ago with my sister. We thought it was a really lovely little hotel, and found our room both spacious and clean. Staff were very freindly and helpful. Neither of us spoke any Polish, and staff always did their best to help us.
The breakfasts were a feast of lovely things to eat, including bowls and bowls of delicious fresh strawberries. Actually staying in the Jewish Quarter was so much nicer than being in the centre of Krakow. Hotel Eden is to be recommended for its individuality. Well done.
We had a wonderful stay at hotel Eden. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Internet available. We'll be back!
Excellent hotel, in very good location. Good restaurants 2mins walk. Staff are 5 star, nothing is too much trouble!! Very clean rooms and bathroom shower is excellent.
Very atmospheric setting in Jewish Quarter. Attentive service and good rooms.
However, only feather pillows, so asthmatics beware! Also, coffee is poor!
but, would go back tomorrow.
