Editor's review
Ten years ago the Europejski was a rather miserable place. However, it has come on in leaps and bounds in the last few years, owing to an energetic programme of renovation by the hotel's pre-war owners. It's now a smart, modern place - characteristics that should also apply to the multi-million zloty investment that is planned in the small stretch between here and the train station. The whole vicinity is certainly on the up. Europejski offers eighty seven places in singles, doubles and triples, with differentiating grades of luxury. The restaurant and bars downstairs have also been considerably brightened up and they do a good lunch menu. The Old Town is a five minute walk away.

Nice clean hotel. Lovely beds and specially the BIG pillows. Friendly and service minded staff. A pleasant stay! We will get back next time in Krakow.
I stayed at this hotel in July 2003. The lobby is small and smoky. The room was up many flights of creaky stairs. There is no air conditioning, but my room did have a tiny (amybe 5 inches) electric fan. The room was decorated in orange and gold (yikes) and it had a double bed, and an odd single. The beds were old, and sunken. The private bath (rare in this hotel) was pleasant, and very new. The surroundings were noisy, because of the train station, and the constant construction sounds in the hotel. The TV was about 35 years old. I never saw a single person in the bar or restaurant during my week there. It was VERY expensive ($189 US/night!!!), and not worth the cost. The walk to Old Town was pleasant.
Decent enough hotel, but nothing special. Clean rooms etc etc, so nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either.
The hotel and services were excellent value for money. Good food and nice rooms. Taxi services and drivers were particularly first class, friendly and always helpful. Essential in a big beautiful city such as Krakow. We will be back.
