A new luxury hotel has landed in central Cracow: Ostoya, a distinctive, thoughtfully designed enterprise that has made its home in an elegant ninneteenth century palace. Guests can choose from a range of twenty-four smartly furnished rooms, including a pair of plush suites. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with broadband internet connections. Some of the attractively appointed bathrooms have the congenial bonus of a jacuzzi, an extra that can rarely go amiss. Culture vultures willl be pleased to be just round the corner from the National Museum, as well as the charming Massolit bookshop and cafe. Ostoya also boasts a restaurant, a conference hall and a club room.

Let's put it that way - I would be back anytime! thank you to very friendly reception desk staff. Greatings from Italy
The hotel is in very close walking distance from the Market Square, so a huge plus on location. Room was ok size, breakfast good too. The hotelhas a small bar underneath the hotel, which is busy at eating times, but was quiet later at night - although it does show Premiership matches. All in all xtremely good experience.
Although it seemed to be next to a busy road, we found this hotel to be quiet. Good location - stroll away from the Main Square. Breakfast was varied and satisfactory. We enjoyed our stay there.
Nice Hotel, we had a luck to get the room with great corner bath. Just few minutes walk from the Main Square, good restaurant in the Hotel. Would recommend.
We stayed 3 nights in the hotel Ostoya begin september2010. We are very pleasted of the service. The rooms and breakfest were good. Thanks anyway to invites us from the street!!! We will come back. Greetings from Belgium.
Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean with large ceilings, clean towels and bath robes.
Thank you for a lovely time. And after all that we found our camera, Thanks for all the trouble you went to anyway.

This hotel is fine for the price. Not too far from the action and in a nice building... The rooms had everything we needed!
We found this a decent base for exploring the city. Close to all the action. Elegant old building. Weather funny but you can't have everything!
Didn't have any of the below shockers! We had a lovely Christmas break at the Ostoya. Caught a good exhibition at the museum next door. Thumbs up.
A total disaster of a Hotel. My room was awful. Open shower / Bathroom, floor became drenched and VERY Slippy.
No Tea and Coffee making facilities in your room, only very expensive room service.
Restaurant was also rubbish and again Very expensive. 280 Slotty for a bottle of Chablis, that's £75 for a bottle that costs aroun £9.50!!!!!.
I asked if I could check out of my room at 2pm, this cost an extra £50 for two hours as you have to check out by 12 noon.
Room was poorly decorated not like the photo and the bed was rock hard.
Bar in the Basement was even more expensive!!!!!
Stay away from this one!!!!
A superb experience! I'd highly recomment the Ostoya Palace Hotel in Krakow, the service and room was magnificent!
Ostoya Palace comes highly recommeded. It's smart, clean, elegant, has friendly staff and is convieniently located - although you take your life into your own hands crossing Polish roads.
Only minor points I would raise are; no Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room and the mattress protector was uncomfortable and had to go - I don't have "accidents" anymore!!
Overall - great stay.
Good hotels are hard to come by. This one is up there with the best in terms of location, decor & most importantly, hospitality. Recommended.
Our stay at the Ostoya Palace Hotel was delightful. We were in Krakow for a long weekend and we found the staff pleasant and extremely helpful. The building is beautifully re-furbished keeping the lovely marble surround and parquet flooring. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. Krakow is a truly beautiful city and we will definitely stay at the Ostoya Palace Hotel when we return.
Having just returned from a trip to Krakow all I can say is that I am so relieved to not have taken too much notice of some of the reviews written about the Ostoya. We have travelled extensively and belive that the Ostoya is a lovely hotel. It suited our needs, the rooms were well decorated and immaculate and the breakfast was a pleasure to eat each morning and, abovew all, the staff were extremely helpful and very discreet. Staying at the Ostoya made our trip to Krakow very pleasant. Thoroughly recommend anyone to stay there.
The Ostoya Palace is a good hotel which still needs some finishing touches to make it a great hotel. The location is good, only a 10 minute walk to the Old Town with all the shops and restaurants although you do cross a busy road and walk through a park to get there. The main reason why this hotel, for me, only gets a 3 out of 5 is because you get a feeling, once inside, that things have been overlooked or forgotten or that there has been little attention to detail :- to explain... There are lights for pictures on the walls but no pictures, its impossible to have one of the bedside lights on without having the main lights on as the main light switch swtiches off the lamps (no good for reading)!! There is no room service menu in any of the rooms, there are no bins in any of the rooms meaning that you have to accumulate rubbish in shopping bags. All rooms do not have a bath and shower, you have get allocated one or the other, if you have a bath there is no shower screen or curtain which means that you have to be extra careful when using the shower attachments on the bath or else you end up with a room full of water. All this said the hotel is very comfortable, the staff are extra friendly and the breakfasts where lovely and with a last push this hotel could be a real gem.
My wife and I stayed at the Ostoya Place during the period September 17th to September 22nd 2005. The only item better than the opulent rooms and accommodations was the friendliness and excellent service provided by the hotel staff. I would highly recommend the Ostoya Place to anyone staying in Krakow.
Stayed their with my husband for two nights, beginning of September 2005. Really comfortable and tasteful decoration. Good breakfast (best we had in Cracow). Good service, very discreet. Some minor starting problems though.
A new hotel this, which has made a promising start. As always, we look for the most important quality - service - and Ostoya Palace has it in buckets. Thanks to all the staff for such a pleasant stay. The location too was good - its about a 5 minute walk to the Market Square.
