If the 'Old Town' reference piques your interest you'll be pleased to hear that it's not a cunning ruse to catch the noble backpacker - you're right in the heart of the action here! This small but cosy gem is located above a historic old town square, and the two dorms look onto the magnificent art nouveau facade of the Old Theatre. Certainly not a bad view to wake up to. You'll be welcomed by the lovely Kinga, who's bursting with bright ideas about the city. And if you're inspired to take an intrepid step into the world of Polish grammar, the owner's wife is a bona fide language teacher, and she'll soon have you wrestling with Polish tongue-twisters in true knightly fashion. The clean dorms come in one sextuple and one octuple. There's also internet access and breakfast is included in the price - a very reasonable 45 zl. If you can grab a bed here, you're unlikely to be disappointed.

I was looking for cheap accommodation in Cracow and I've found it in Old Town Hostel Cheap, comfortable and nice service. Good for visitors because it is near to the railway or bus station.
A friend and I and our two 20-something sons stayed here in June 2008. Great space and reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. I'd definitely stay again!
I stayed at this lovely and very friendly hostel for couple of weeks,
all the service and staff were very
friendly, it was a great pity to leave.
Will definitely come back. And the
location, this is just near Rynek !
I stayed here from the 9 to 18th of August 2006. It's a great hostel! It has two rooms, one with 8 beds and one with 6. We slept with 9 men in the room with 8 beds. This was no problem at all. All of us got a key of the appartment building. But the door of the appartment itself, always had to be opened by an employee from the inside. Great security. Nobody who didn't belong in the hostel, could enter. They have one employee who makes a 24 hour shift. He or she opens the door for you any hour of the day. With our group of nine, when we went out partying, some of us came home earlier than others. It must have been terrible nights of sleep for the employee. If one or two of our group didn't feel like partying anymore, they went home. So at some nights two guys came back at like 2:00, another two at 3:00, three guys at 5:00 and the last two at 8:00. But everytime the door was opened, a warm welcome awaited you. And all that for the price of 45zl a night. It was incredible! The view was very nice as well. You could comfortly sit in the window and have a look outside to the beautifull krakow. Combine all the above with the fact that it is about a 200 meter walk from the market square. I'm going back here for sure the next time I'll stay in krakow!! If you need a place to stay in: try this one! But if you can't fill up the room with your group, you must not be bothered by having to spend the night together with strangers in the same room. But hey that's why it's called a hostel ;)
