The services of Blue Aparthotel are professional all the way, when it comes to both individual guests and groups. The hotel offers 1100sqm area comprising 43 comfortable rooms, all equipped with a TV set, Wi-Fi, fridge and adjoining bathroom. The hotel can accommodate up to 125 people. Breakfast is included in the price, and for groups there are special HB and FB offers. The building has a lift, drink bar, laundry room, luggage room and conference hall at guests' disposal. Blue Aparthotel is located in a good starting point to all activities in Kraków, it’s situated right in the centre, 4 minutes from the Main Market Square, however it still remains quiet and convenient. We stayed in november for 3 nights in this hostel and payed 19,50 € p.P. per night. The rooms seem to differ a little bit, so here are our experiences with our room and the hostel:
+ spacious room
+ clean
+ comfortable couch and chairs
+ little refrigerator
+ nice and helpful service (especially for the tour to Auschwitz)
+ breakfast-buffet (coffee, tea, milk, juice, sausage, cheese, jam, scrumbled eggs, apples etc.)
+ towels for free
+ elevator
+ non-smoking rooms
+ smoking-area in the backyard
+ coffee + tea for free in the room, waterboiler
+ at least 6 plug sockets
+ 1 km away from the central railway station, bus-station, huge shopping Gallery
+ about 200 m to the Old Town
+ free + steady W-Lan
Now the not so good points:
- with open window the mainstreet Westerplatte is pretty noisy (cars, trams, sirenes of ambulances etc.)
- no hair-dryer
- hardly enough space in the bathroom to put more than one toilet bag
General information for Auschwitz-Tour:
Take the main entrance of the shopping gallery, go downstairs right away and go straight through the train station. When you leave the train station you'll already see the bus station and the ticket office (14 Zloty per person). Even if the salesperson isn't (maybe) very friendly, don't hestitate to ask as long as you get any Information you need. We took the 10.10 h bus at the place G1 upstairs. The trip took about 1,5 h and stopped right in front of the museum. Important: Make a reservation (ask at the reception of the Blue Hostel) online for your visiting date and time, because the Auschwitz-Museum only allows a limited amount of visitiors every day. And when you arrive, ask the bus driver for a litte card with all the departure-times back to Krakow. And any bag bigger than 30x20x10 cm isn't allowed in the Museum.
We hope, you will have a really good time like we had, and we would always book that hostel again.
I had a very bad experience at this hostel, we were shouted at by the manager for complaining about the noise, and our online reservation was cancelled after our stay to prevent us from leaving negative feedback. The management do not know how to deal with people - they act like the guests are the enemies!!!
KPINA!!!
