Grodek is the jewel in Jerzy Donimirski's Cracow crown. The owner has resurrected a number of unusual properties in the region, and this beautifully renovated townhouse has a location so secret that many Cracovians themselves have never walked down the street it's based on. However, Grodek is in fact right in the heart of town just three minutes walk from Cracow's Main Market Square. The hotel lies on a charming cul-de-sac by the old Dominican Abbey, and it has all the ingredients for a memorable and romantic stay in Cracow.

Perfectly located and within easy walking distance to the Main Square and attractions. All of the Staff at this beautiful Hotel from, the front desk to the cleaning staff ensured our 3 night stay was a most enjoyable and comfortable one. The Staff were faultless and provided an outstanding service who were always on hand to help when needed. We ate in the Hotel's restaurant and the food was delicious and for a 5* Hotel the value for money was incredibly reasonable. I would recommend anyone to stay there, and most definitely we'll be back there, but next time we'll stay in one of there stunning Suites.
Lovely hotel located a stone's throw from the central square in Krakow. We had specified that we were 3 friends travelling together - so 3 adults - so were disappointed on arrival when we saw the size of the room. We had opted for the deluxe room and were told that that would accommodate 3 beds. It did, but 3 people and 3 suitcases in addition would have been tricky. I spoke to the girl in reception and she was very helpful. After checking with her manager we were given a very nice room (called apartment, but a bigger room with a sofa) which was very nice and much appreciated! When we asked for an extra matress to put on the sofa bed which was pretty lumpy, that was no problem either. We encountered 4 different girls in reception during our stay and they were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fine, and though the breakfast staff did their job perfectly well they were less friendly than the receptionists. The weather was cold and miserable and we had looked forward to sitting down in the bar in the front of the fire, however it was never lit. When we mentioned that it would be nice to see the fire in the reception was lit, it was in fact lit the next day. However, strange with the cold weather that this wasn't lit automatically every morning. We used the sauna every day to warm up which was great, and it was sensible that you had to give an hour's notice so it could be turned on, but we did think it was a bit starnge to have to pay extra for it in a 5 star hotel. All in all though it was a lovely hotel and we all agreed that we would definitely go back.
Undoubtedly, one of the very best hotels in Krakow. Staff exceptional, decor great. I keep coming back.
My favourite hotel! Quiet side street is a big advantage in a city that can get quite noisy at night. Food excellent.
A wonderful hotel with the most friendly staff of any hotel we have stayed at in Krakow. Quiet but very central location on a side street. The restaurant is terrific too.
Wonderful hotel with outstanding staff. The breakfast selection was superb - cold and hotel buffet. Great coffee too.
A free wi-fi was a bonus. Thank you Hotel Grodek for making our stay special.
This is very stylish hotel, where you can feel the tradition of Krakow. Rooms beautiful and spotless, breakfast was outstanding.
The breakfast was excellent,we do not miss anything. All rooms were different & chic. The Hotel Gródek is prefect for location.
This hotel was recommended to us by friends and it definitely lived up to our expectations. Great Choice!
We loved it. When we arrived we were very worried as there are building works on both sides of the hotel. But it made no difference to our stay at all. The hotel is charming. So were the staff.
Lovely hotel, but when I asked for a smaller pillow I never got it and there was no kettle in my room.
Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Only problem was having to wait a day for the curtain in the room to be fixed. One or two hooks had come off the rail and the window top was too high to reach with out a stepladder.
The Hotel Grodek is well located within 5 minutes of the old town. I liked the rooms with its individual decoration, the breakfast room charming.
The room, food and service were all superior and the location was great despite reconstruction next door. We plant to recommend it to anyone we know going to Poland.
Room overlooked the garden so it was quiet. Location great for restaurants, museums & train station if required.
Lovely room, excellent value, friendly staff. The only promblem was with our dinner booking on the first nigh, we were told it was not necessary to book, however when we arrived for dinner they could not accommodate us as it was too busy. Breakfast could be improved when quite by cook ing eggs to order as the fried eggs were always hard from being stored. I hope these point might improve other guests staying with you. We realy enjoyed ourselves and thought the hotel was beautyfull
Loved everything about it. Had trouble finding it initially, but, once we were there, the Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful. Very quiet location.
A cute classic little hotel. No complaints! Great location and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I loved Cracow, polish people , polish language and all the girls at Grodek reception!
I love cracow, and this hotel is just lovely, elegant and very romantic! Never will forget it!
This hotel is a little jewel in the heart of Krakow. Quiet, intimate, smart, interesting, with pleasant staff, a good restaurant and affordable. If I return to Krakow I shall look no further.
Spend four wonderful nights at the Hotel Grodek. It is a very charming hotel in the perfect location in the old city. The staff were very friendly. Cannot wait to come back to Krakow and stay at the Hotel Grodek.
Lovely hotel, great views. Will never forget the hotel, the staff and the city. Will certainly be back. Loved Grodek and Krakow.

We enjoyed the Hotel Grodek on June 25-27,2009. We booked a deluxe hotel room which was a comfortable size and looked out over the gardens. All staff were friendly. Especially gracious were the breakfast wait staff who went out of their way to be accomodating. The location was excellent and we dined one night in the hotel dining room and enjoyed it. Only disappointment was the library which is smoking; so we took our drinks to the patio on the top floor which worked out well and the weather cooperate. We also found that this was a great spot to recup between touring. We would strongly recommend this hotel.
My wife and I stayed at the Grodek for 2 nights in early June 09 and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent for the old town, Wavel Castle, the river and most other attractions. It is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac which lends it an air of seclusion.
The room we had was very neat, well appointed, but quite small. The bathroom and toiletries were excellent. The only disappointment we had was that the 'famous' restaurant was closed for the night we could book as it was beiong 'cleaned'. A shame as we had read so much about it.
I would recommend the Grodek to visitors as it has a 'family' run feel to it as opposed to a large chain and is in a great location.
Front desk staff were young but very helpful with excellent English.
We loved this hotel. And we had lovely weather too. Very pretty terrace on the roof with wonderful view of Cracow - what a lovely city! Would go back.
We really enjoyed ourselves at this hotel. The staff was really helpful in assisting us plan our trips out of Krakow to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines and the rooms were everything we needed. Recommended.
We couldn't have hoped for a more lovely hotel. Down a lovely lane by an old abbey. Smiling staff. Beautiful decor. Snazzy restaurant. Great!
A delightful hotel. Charmingly decorated and friendly service. Cosy rooms and superb restaurant. Quite probably the best in Cracow and not at all showy.
We stayed at the Grodek with two other couples October of 2007. An excellent experience in all respects. The staff very helpful, very attractive. The location ideal. Rooms very nice, plus a great restaurant and a cozy bar. (If you need a driver, ask for Andrew.)
A Krakow legend! Put your folks up in the Lech Walesa suite of the Grodek and they might even treat you to dinner at Cul-de-sac...
Just returned from the Hotel Grodek. A superb hotel! The attentiveness of the staff; the delicious food [do dine there!]; the immaculate and comfortable rooms - it was all excellent. My Father and I stayed together. My Father has very restricted mobility and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Just returned from a stay at the Grodek. Everything about it was great, the room, the staff, the service, the general feel of the place, the location - in a quiet cul-de-sac right on the Planty gardens and an easy walk to everywhere - and the driver they provided. We checked out some of the other hotels we had been offered and were very happy with our choice
Superb, superb hotel. I've been coming to Cracow for several years now, and have to say that this is, for my money, the pick of the bunch. Service, location, attention to detail, just perfect!
