Open Night at the Synagogues

This weekend will be a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at Krakow's historic synagogues, which are normally closed to the public. Seven synagogues will take part in the second edition of this event, which proved so popular last year. It will take place from 10.30pm on June 2, to 2am on June 3. The synagogues taking part are the Tempel, Kupa, Remu, Popper, Izaak, the Old Synagogue, and the High Synagogue. There will be a programme of entertainment at each of them, including exhibitions and music - including a concert by Geva Alon, a workshop on how to dress Jewish. Entry to each of the synagogues is free, and the Cheder Cafe and Jewish Community Centre (where there will be garden party with music) will also be open to visitors.
