Editor's review
Kazimierz has long been the favoured hangout of arty souls, and Kolanko is an enduring choice in this neck of the woods. It's a laid back spot to grab a coffee or beer, so laid back in fact that you may feel inclined to stay for longer than planned. In summer months, the hidden garden at the back is a fine spot to unwind, whilst in winter, the cosy bar offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere to help banish the jitters. You might catch the occasional gig from time to time, and there are plenty of light bites on the menu. Kolanko has long specialised in pancakes (nalesniki), with a wide variety of fillings to choose from. However, recently their menu was expanded by the menu is a selection of world cuisine samples, such as Greek musaka, Spanish paella, Moroccan tagine, Indonesian satay and more. One thing definitely worth recommending is Kolanko's rich breakfast buffet offer, with cold and hot foods. Also, Kolanko No. 6 is somewhat of a cultural hub, so make sure to check if there's any exhibition, concert, film screening, or a meeting with a traveller coming up, in order not to miss it.
