The Irish Arms is an authentic Irish pub less than a minutes walk from the Market Square. Irish-owned and run, you'll find it right in the heart of the city. It's truly a little piece of home. With live music every Friday and Saturday and SkySports taking care of all the football, rugby, golf, NFL and other sports you could wish for, a great atmosphere is ensured. For those not into sports, chill out in the "College of Knowledge" library, or enjoy the free wi-fi. Open Monday to Friday from 5 pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 12 pm until the last guest leaves. Drop by for music, lovely waitresses and flowing alcohol - who could resist a pint of Guinness here?! Don't forget the new location - Slawkowska 4 !

The star is for the incorrect information! We tried to find this pub in order to watch England vs Scotland. The bar is not at this address - we ended up at ul. Slawkoska 4 (just off the main square, as you say) but found only two polish bars. One called Decafencja at street level, and another, downstairs which called itself "Free Pub". Both bars were obviously showing the Poland game. As my boyfriend watched that, I spent half an hour, wandering around trying to locate The Irish Arms. Reading my bar receipt from last night, it does indeed say: Ul. Slawkowska 4 - so I definitely had the address you wrote here!
Hi Andrea, Thanks for the info. I will check it out - perhaps the place has closed in which case we will update this page asap....!
had a great night at the quiz night. But only one complaint the beer tokens that we won could not be used on the night of winning even after 12 am which is another day. Correct this policy and i'll come back. I do understand the bar is not doing so well but this is not the way forward to forcing your clients to come back another day to exchange beer tokens to try and organise a few clients into a bar that is normally empty. Please

What a great pub, the craic was 90, met the owner Maurice Morgan what a great Fella, it's so good to see an Irish traveller from Limerick doing so well for himself, will be back.
me& Padraig had a fab time& thank u2 getting us rat arsed& making me make a fool of myself trying to sing James Connolly after 15vodkas! whoohoo the Irish rebel! (I rem the words now))
Was here on Tuesday for the Champions League match - Man U v Chelsea. My first visit to Irish Arms. It was good, but a couple of small suggestions -
1) It would be good to have a few more chairs for people watching the footie
2) Barrels everywhere! Fun at first but all the loading up of barrels, having to move around so barrels can be removed etc was a bit of a pain later
3) Bigger screen? Any chance of a projector / bigger screen?
Overall all, though it was great. The staff were friendly, and I hope you take my comments as constructive, not a dig!
Matt

I was lucky enough to be able to visit the old 'Arms' a few times when I first came to Krakow, so imagine how pleased i was to hear it was re-opening. The new place has the potential to be just as good.
It's a fantastic location, great prices, some of the friendliest staff and management in Krakow, and a great pint of Guinness too.
Good luck for a long and prosperous future.
I dont normally write reviews but really felt I should here with this new Irish bar in Krakow.
I was in krakow for 3 nights on the weekend just gone and well it was class!! I made my base at the arms which is just off the square and across from the hotel I was staying.Anyway the place took me back to great Irish pubs of old!! from the pictures to the books plus a savage map of my beloved country custom made on the wall as you come down the stairs, the place seems as if its been there for years in a good way!!
I leave the staff to last as they are what this place is all about!! they made me feel so welcome, and were a great laugh(not afraid to take the pi** either)which is what an Irish pub should be!! the beer was cheap as chips and the vodka even cheaper!!great looking girls behind the bar and fergie the manager is a gas character!!
hope to get back over next year,Im sure its going to be a huge hit!!

Devastated! I spent many a good day / night in this little piece of Irish heaven. Maurice and Thomas, two great kids who looked after me. The great football team.... too many memories to list. Hope to see you soon Maurice.
Can't believe it closed down. Was partying there from 2001-2004. Was the only place at that time to watch American Football and the Superbowl.
Ah for the love of fuck the arms is gone i never even knew i cant belive it pinched myself twice an fuck i wanna die now it was the best thing krakow had to offer for us loonys will miss it :......(
Celebrating new year 3 times in one night, getting smashed on £15! It Carlesberg made this pub it wouldn't have closed down! Arms 4eva! x
Our pleasure! The least we can do is preserve a small space on cyberspace for a place that played such a huge part in the changes we've seen in Krakow over the past 10 years! The King of Arms is dead, long live the Ambassador!?!

Mo you are joking??????this brought a tear to my eye f;[.k i will b thr will book flight tonight
So it's been a good 9 years open, but now it's time to say goodbye to one of the oldest Irish pubs in Poland. The lease is up and unfortunately will not be renewed. Now, because it's been open such a long time, and has so much history with ex-pats and Poles alike, bringing people together and breaking them up (the toilets have a lot to answer for), not to mention it coincides with Maurice's birthday, this is going to be one hell of a party. 5 days' worth, in fact. This needs to be a farewell to end all farewells.
So, if you're ever had a good session in the Arms, and would like to wish it farewell (that being getting plastered, blacking out and waking up with a black eye), come on down to the Arms on the 6th and following days to put your liver to the test.
Should be a cracker!!!!!!
Totally brilliant place with an excellent atmosphere, great food, great beer, staff very proffesional. Would recommend to anybody, Miss it miss out!
ok here is the deal this is a pub a real pub ,nothing fancy except the craic ,u want plastic try mc donalds, you want gay sticks in your drink go to the sheraton.you want some wossie assed cocktail that you pay thru your teeth for try paino rouge, but if you want some real drinkin with a bunch of loons that should be in a hollywood comedy...you want laughts this is the place to be ok .. get it right its a proper no nonsence no bollix pub.. and to hell with the begrudgers
