Prowincja

Like a little throwback to the literary cafes of prewar Poland. Small but perfectly formed.

Good place for people-watching, and generally watching the world go by - provided that it doesn't suddenly start tipping down with rain!

they have delicious hummus plate! yummy!

I found Prowincja on my first day in the rynek, and can't keep from going back several times a week. The hot chocolate is thick and delicious and the cappuccinos are frothy and tasty. It's a great place for meeting a couple friends and chatting.

one of my absolute favorite places in all of krakow. have the hot chocolate, you won't regret it!

prowincja has the best hot chocolate in the world. it was introduced to me by my uncle on the day i landed and for the month i was there i visited the place and took my tourist friends with me about a minimum of 8 times. i miss it so very much. i wish i had a recipe. it is worth having. beautiful and thick hot chocolate. yum

never made it to Krakow during this years mini tour of Poland,but will definitely be there in July 2008 (first stop will be Prowincja for kawa and chiastko ;)...see ya there!

Also we where very much touched, even depressed, when we read about the story that started and ended so dramatically! To be honest, I even cried, no joke! Just to tell a different story apart from the worlds best apple cake with whipped cream (jab³ecznik z bit± ¶mietan±)pyyychaaa!!!:))) :anche noi ci sono conosciuto in questa strada e anche noi ci sono sposati, ma sappiamo con altra storia dopo... and also this place is a symbol of love for us 2 (simbol mi³o¶ci): in may we started the more serious part of our story in this place and now we are preparing for our church wedding in cracow..come here everyone to be a part of the unique cracovian atmosphere of love and harmony..Wszystkim ¿yczymy spotkania tej jedynej i prawdziwej mi³o¶ci.

Heartbreaking. I remember when your first review of this place was published (see below) and how touching it was. I am SO SAD to hear that you are no longer together and wish you both every happiness possible on your separate paths. Surely such a passion deserves a happier ending? Bless you both.

this place in Ul.Bracka will always hold a special place in our hearts...even if our dreams were broken.....we are no longer together but memories of Prowincja will always be remembered as a turning point in our lives....take some tome out,relax,go there and experience some sort of magic!

The Hot chocolate would be delicious if only you could drink it! Think chocolate custard and you're closer to what it actually is! You'll need a spoon, if not a knife and fork! But a nice cafe, if you can squash in.

The atmosphere of Krakow.... buzzes with an overwhelming sense of romance, love, music, history, art, stunning architecture, future, warmth... it flows through wide open spaces, through the Planty, beside Vistula, over Wawel and into Prowincja. It was here in September 2000 that I sat with a beautiful woman I had met only days before and told her that one day we would be together forever. We cried into our coffee to say goodbye on that day, but after 13 months of international calls, hourly texts and daily letters we met once again at Prowincja in October 2001. I was inspired to write 'Prowincja', a symphony for the woman who in August this year became my wife. Prowincja is a place of dreams for us, we will be there again in the summer of 2004 for coffee... and love....

Jest malutka i urocza, ma antresolke... i bardzo, bardzo, bardzo gesta , goraca czekolade. Napewno jest to czekolada inna niz wszystkie. Szkoda tylko, ze za pierwszym razem czekalam, az 25 minut...

one of the best places to have some coffee and a nice chat. Got the three c's: cosy, classy and cool.
