Bar Bałtyk took its name from the Baltic Sea and that’s not without reason, because the venue is a typical central European bar, resembling an old-school tavern. It’s the place when one can feel the atmosphere of the seaside, right in the heart of Krakow, in Brzozowa St. Comparing to the other bars in the city, this one is a shabby, but not snobby, and quite authentic. Why? Who else organises a competition for the best traditional sauerkraut soup recipe, and additionally calls it ‘Kwaśnica Challenge?’ You can’t say the menu is sophisticated, but is there anything more Polish than Bison Grass Vodka? Bar Bałtyk’s menu contains more than thirty kinds of shots at an affordable price of 6 zloty, and over fifteen kinds of bottled beer. And since good alcohol requires proper entertainment, in Bar Bałtyk transmissions of boxing fights and football matches are organized on a daily basis.
