When living in a bustling city like Krakow, spending time in nature can be a necessary healing. To take a long walk through the trees of the Planty park or to relax, enjoying a meal amongst the leaves of Cafe Botanica is absolutely essential for our health. Located right in the centre of Krakow's oldest and most admired quarter, Cafe Botanica is nestled into one of the beautiful mediaeval streets of Stare Miasto. It might be hard to imagine when you wander down the picturesquely cafe-lined cobbled path today, but when Cafe Botanica opened in September 1997; this gourmet greenhouse was the first and only cafe on Ulica Bracka.

Since that time, it has been a popular meeting place for students and friends as well as a go-to for a romantic evening - it's not hard to see why. The centrepiece of the front room is the most photographed tree in Krakow, an incredible metal trunk carving its way from the bar towards the ceiling with it's black twisted branches. Living dragon trees, vines, ferns along with scultures and classical murals inspired by them fill the interior with a calmness and a purity of life energy. Three rooms with three different, but unified characters offer more than 90 seats and the Orangery with it's glazed roof and natural sunlight offers a chilled out smoking area.

As for the food, they've got breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. Breakfast sets, ciabatta, burgers and bagels, tarts, tortillas, pasta and salads and daily specials along with a selection of desserts are all prepared by expert chefs. Drinks wise they've got just about everything. Coffee tea and hot chocolate, shakes & smoothies, cocktails, worldly wines and a fully stocked bar.
