A good antidote to the smoke-and-cellars bar brigade, Czekolada (Chocolate) is a light and airy hangout that can be found just off the Main Market Square in a small courtyard off ul. Bracka. It enjoys a regular clientele who go for the relaxed music and comfortable sofas and chairs. A great selection of home-made cakes (including a splendid vegetarian tart) compliment coffee and a range of chocolate drinks (hot, with cream, iced or with cinnamon among others), but this being Poland, naturally there's a whole range of alcoholic drink chasers to round it all off. Add multi-lingual, cheerful staff, and all in all we give it a big thumbs up. Their summer garden is a oasis of clam in the Old Town - settle down with one of their tasty ice creams and make the most of Happy Hour!

Perfect hot chocolate - something we don't get often in the uk, cosy cafe, pleasant staff - all round great place to spend a few hours
Don't waste your time going there , all is rubbish , and well the staff not much better , look around and you will find 1000 better places . ( a pissed off Irishman. )
Another lovely place. very nice inside too with great decor. Didn;'t try the hot chocolate as it was too hot!
The place was out of this world , full of aliens , esp klaudia dworzecka who had many faces , all evil .
had forgotten about this place! used to do my Polish homework at Czekolada and eat some cake with icecream.. high time i madea return methinks
Friendly, good music, good pies, extraordinary chocolate! Hidden, but open. Art Deco furniture with touch of modern spirit. English spekaing! Charming waitresses...
Nice surroundings & friendly staff. Ordered a cappuccino & got a cup of froth with a couple of mouthfulls of coffee! The chocolate cake wasn't up to much either. Pity, as we had heard that it was worth a visit. Could do better!
This is one of Krakow's hidden gems. An elegant cafe that is like the 1920's given a modern twist. As the saying goes, its all in the detail, with stylish furnishings, and elegant odds and ends right down to the cocktail glasses. And to add to this you've got friendly staff, excellent coffee and a very attractive vaulted ceiling. Time stops here, which is exactly what you want and very Cracovian. Great!
