An ideal place if you're looking for a rather homely atmosphere, Carmel Coffee is pretty warm and welcoming, and serves up good Polish food to boot. Quiet and relaxed, its position along ul. Krzyza means it avoids the hordes, and is all the better for it. Open until 1 am during weekdays, and until 3 am at weekends, Carmel exhibits the works of The Tadeusz Huka Gallery on all the walls, and is a bit of a favourite with the acting fraternity. There's even a piano where anyone is invited to play!
