Located in a fine fifteenth century building on Cracow's Rynek (Main Market Square), Wentzl Restaurant boasts one of the best views in the city, superb cuisine, and truly elegant dining. The splendid Renaissance interior is famous for its distinguished collection of paintings from Wojciech Fibak's "Ecole de Paris" cycle, and the regal atmosphere is heightened by the assortment of wines and Havana cigars to compliment the top quality cuisine. If you're after the best in Cracow dining, you may just have found it.

A favourite place to go for a speacial meal. Choose a table close to the windows on a warm evening and absorb the atmosphere across the square. Stylish and elegant sums it up.
This is high class food, and high class service. The price is a bit higher than normal even for the old town, but it is worth it. And it is still very cheap.
A truly superb restaurant with food to match. The dining room was so elegant and soothing on the eye plus we had a table overlooking the square. My friend and I both had the fish - sea bream with vegetables which was delicious and beautifully presented, obviously a top chef.
After a long and trecherous journey to Europe by boat, I came accross this wonderful establishment. After some fine wine and truly excellent cuisine, I too got laid.
Nice!!!!!
This restaurant had received a lot of excellent reviews so we booked it for 12 people. Surroudings are lovely and we had good table near the windows overlooking the square. Service was good but a bit slow - think they had a very big party in another room. Starters good but all of the meat main courses were served on cold plates so by the time the meals got to the table the food was cool to nearly cold - not good.(Lamb on the tough side) The fish lovers faired better, dishes were very well presented, warm and very tasty but portions small - had they nearly run out and were spreading the remaining stock?
Overall bit of a downer - should and could have been better - just didn't go quite right on the night.Of course we should have complained at the time but consensus of comments only really came to light at breakfast the next morning.
Fantistic food and great atmosphere. More expensive that most Krakow restaurants but still cheep compared to similar in UK.
I have booked one table for two persons at 27.5.o7 .Thats right. Please to time 19.oo o.clock. Thank you
We loved this place - The food was exquisite - I had Raviolis filled with Roe Deer and rosemary to start, Roast Quail on mash with beautiful vegetables perfectly cooked. Hubby had Mushroom soup served in a bread bowl for starter and Wild Boar with roasted potatoes and veg for main. Ww were too stuffed to go for desserts but had everyone else looked more than happy with the fantastic homemade delights coming from the kitchens- the waitress who served us was very sweet and gave us an wonderful table upstairs looking out over St Marys Church and Rynek Glowny - Awesome! and she was super patient and tolerant to the greedy pompus beligerant fat pig sitting on the next table! Top Girl!
I highly recommend this place - not the cheapest in Krakow but worth every Zloty!!
I agree with my brother, this is the purrfect place for starting your night out. For desserts, just ask for Svetlana's special. You may want to take up the option of 'seconds'!
This restaurant is sheer class. we went there on a sedate stag weekend and this was just the place for us. The starters were good value and my McHaggis was done to perfection. For mains I had a local fish dish called Kapten Brydzai. It was like a breaded escalope of cod. To top things off we all got laid after the meal. Super!
We only had three days in Cracow so finding a good restaurant was high on our list. The Wentzl was so good that we ate there twice. Top quality food with linen service in two elegant rooms with splendid views across the square to St Mary's church. A full 3 course meal with wine was about £19 per head ( the starter was gratis!!). Although the interior would compare with any top city restaurant there is no need to dress up. We wore jeans, T shirts and hiking boots and were made very welcome by our waiter, Oskar. His English is superb and he will go to great lengths to explain the dishes. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. GO THERE and ENJOY!!!!
A superb restaurant. Excellent location and attentive service. The food is of the highest quality and well-presented. Add this to the very reasonable prices and you have a winning formula.
The location could not be better, with fine service and food to compliment it. Top marks all round if you are looking for an elegant evening out - most enjoyable!
