Genuine Korean food in the center of Krakow. Seems impossible? Absolutely not. Now you can taste Korea by the Stary Kleparz square on Paderewskiego St. The owners, yes, Koreans obviously, will greet you with a pleasant “ahn-yoh hah-say-yoh”, which roughly means “May you have peace”. The menu is simple and to the point. At Oriental Spoon you’ll be served the famous Korean “bibimbap”, which is rice with meat, fried egg and a mix of vegetables. Kimchi, a side dish usually made of fermented cabbage, both spicy and sour, is also available, as well as warming miso soup with tofu and Korean tea. All dishes are served only in takeaway boxes and cups. All in all, Oriental Spoon brings to mind a kind of street food concept based on fresh ingredients, without excessive pathos and confusion. That is why this Korean venue matches its location and has such a big potential.
