Bombonierka translates as "chocolate box", and the name is fitting, as the restaurant offers a variety of flavours and culinary forms. The restaurant prides itself with serving traditional Polish food in some surprising renditions, such as a well-known cake served in a different and exciting way, or a popular Polish dish that was given a new look. The menu bears a touch of European cuisine, and includes some vegetarian options, too. The decor is elegant, with a touch of special Krakow folk accents, such as knitted lace lampshades, or old photos on the walls.

We really liked this restaurant and ate there most evenings during our one week stay. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very friendly staff and a good menu.
Although it is very close to the vibrant Plac Nowy the restaurant is nice and quiet. It does have a few tables on the pavement outside the restaurant.
The food was delicious, we tried: Breast of goose, duck, chicken, lamb, pork and salmon. All meals were above our expectations. The portions were large, as such after our first visit we didn't order starters or puddings. (discounting a few beers and vodkas, of course).
