Editor's review
Located on the architecturally stunning Krupnicza Street, which runs off the Planty park surrounding old town, Green Way has taken up premises in a gorgeous historical building known as ‘The Writers’ House’. This classic tenement house once belonged to the Polish Writers’ Union and has been the base of many excellent Polish writers such as Stanisław Mrożek, Wisława Szymborska & Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński.
Maintaining the cultural and vegetarian traditions of this building (previously home to iconic Krakow veggie bar 'Vega'), their dishes are constructed mostly with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free , organic, fresh, seasonal and minimally processed ingredients which are sure to satisfy not only the health or ethically conscious, but those from all walks of life. To keep their meals truly available to all, Green Way also strive to offer inexpensive price tags to their delicious meals and cater for the whippersnappers with a special children's menu.
Their internationally and locally varied menu offers breakfast (a variety of eggs, hummus, veg cup) and lunch dishes (soup, kofta, enchiladas, lasagne, zucchini pancakes, etc.), salads & dessert as well as hot and cold beverages, smoothies, freshly squeezed juices & even beer. There are daily specials such as a few different soups, 2 daily cake options, a dish of the day and a low-priced dish.
These guys are part of is a nationwide chain of restaurants who strive to make healthy living affordable, achievable and delicious with their human and planet-friendly products.
