Ukrainian food has a lot in common with Polish, so if you have already sampled some of the local delicacies, you should feel right at home with the menu here. The cellar dining room can feel a bit soulless if you're the only people eating there, particularly during the day, but when things liven up in the evening, it can be a blast. Best of all, bring a crowd of your friends and take the whole place over!

I have visited Smak Ukrainski with groups for some years. The good atmosphere and tasty food priced reasonably are reasons why I come back this summer.

Great food, loved the borsch, vareniki, pierogi translated in Polish. Excellent service by the staff
After reading the good rewiews for this restaurant we went there one evening with a large group. But it was a big disappoinment, although the young waitress did her best. The shaslik I had was luke warm, consisted of onion with a few small and thin slices of meat, all served on a lot of rice. And it had no taste. It seems that they don't spend much time on seasoning the food. It's cheap, but the food we had was very poor.
I lived in Krakow for 3 months and this was by far the best place to get pierogies. You can get an entire plateful of assorted pierogies for 2 people for about $12 and they are delicious!
The food was absolutely great - I had spent the days before in the Western Ukraine, so it was a nice thing to remind myself of the great time I had. I recommend it ;)
Really nice food and drink. Good service. When would I have a chance to try Ukrainian food in Scotland.
Very nice place, no smoking. Very good food, u can try fried mushrooms - fantastic!! Lovely staff! Recomended
This restaurant was one of four that we selected from this site to try during our few days in Krakow. I wasn't disappointed; the food and service was superb. We had the rolled cabbage stuffed with meat, Rolled Beef and Ukrainian pascha to finish. Magnificent!

It's a good restaurant, which however does not have any SALO. Do they think it can make the real Ukrainian taste without it???
I took this site's advice, brought a crowd of friends and took the whole place over. Service a little slow but the food was very good. Staff in Ukrainian national dress, which made the whole experience more authentic. If you'd like to remember your meal, don't order the large glass of mead beforehand.
The ukranian borscht here is excellent, and I like the ukranian beer. The pork was a little tough but well flavored.
Had lunch here one day. The soup were good and the two main courses (goulash with pancake and goulash with gruel) were of a good standard. However the best 'goulash crown' has to go to Balaton just round the corner.
This place is great! I loved the food, and the atmosphere. If you like Ukrainian/Polish/Slovakian food, this is your place.
