If you cannot make it all the way to Moscow, you can certainly get a taste of the place right here in Cracow - the Kalinka Restaurant has it all, including Russian and gypsy music, and the inevitable Russian dolls - plus a good range of Russian specialities, such as pascha cheesecake and caviar pancakes! The more involved of these meals can be ordered in advance by telephone. Take-aways are also available (dania na wynos). The restaurant is an ideal place for group parties (up to 30 or 40 people), and can be booked exclusively for an evening. There's guarded parking next door, which may just be a good thing if you end up overdoing it on red caviar with Smirnoff aperitifs!

This was the restaurant ( we visited 6 in one week )that we never or ever would recomment to anybody, it started with nice hot wine :(, the things we asked from the menu weren't available and after seen that we would leave the restaurant suddenly our mainmenu was possible, we orded the same beer and get another one, toilet was smelling and our food looked more on cheap soup , even the last ordered dish did not contained any meat , this was a real nightmare, never again, hope this restaurant closes doors very soon !!! ( shame i can't choose 0/5
Took my travel group, 40 persons, to Kalinka. A great evening! Good food in "private" atmosphere. Sigmund
Good authentic food and a nice atmosphere when we went. Few glasses of mulled wine really warmed us up after being out in the cold!
Stumbled across this place for lunch when it was bitter cold outside. Very quaint. Three old ladies dinking mulled wine and two courting young couples canoodling in the shady corners. We followed suit..with the wine that is!!..and it hit the spot (two more glasses later and we were glowing...and enjoying the fact our 3 year old daughter was asleep in her pushchair!!)Food was OK -the whole experience delightful!
A place with pretty authentic atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the food is good indeed.
Pretty unpreposessing sort of an entrance, right next to a carpark. But we had a decent meal here, and the price was reasonable. Excellent dumplings (pierogi) served in bouillion was the highlight. And the beer tastes as good here as anywhere in Krakow!
