Polakowski has proved something of a runaway hit, so much so that the owner has now opened a second outlet in the Old Town. This first one can be found in the heart of Kazimierz. It filled a gap in the market by providing tasty, unfussy food yet in an attrractive, modern atmosphere. It was an immediate success with the locals and we heartily recommend it if you're looking for quick pitstop on your adventures through Kazimierz. This being Poland thare are plenty of charming, eccentric touches including prize vegetables that have been woven into the decor.

So few reviews of this place? Strange. I fell in love with the Polakowski as a student and it's been my habit ever since. Where else can you get tasty, filling, healthy food at such prices? Let's face it: only at your grandma's. Of course one could complain about the cramped space but seriously, for that kind of money..? Get real :)
We recently moved to Poland from the States and were taken to Polakowski's by some Polish friends who live near the restaurant, during our first week here. We had already eaten at several other places, some fancy, some not, in the city, and wanted to try this place at their suggestion. Great food, good prices, easy to order, too, as the menu is in Polish on one side and in English on the other. The only wine they had when were there was in tiny bottles, about a glass in each, but food portions were good and everything was tasty. The place was packed with Poles eating their lunch, but we got a table and ordered and received our food quickly, as turnover of tables was high. We ordered at the central register area, rather than at the table and picked up our food there, also. Great place to try Polish traditional food.
I've eaten here two nights in a row now and it is Excellent! I recommend anything on the menu. I'm actually changing hostels to one that happens to be just across the street so I'll be frequenting this place almost everyday I think. The prices can't be beat either.
I visited here and had lunch on Sunday 2nd October. It was really busy but we managed to find a table. The food was good old traditional style and I can say it was almost (but of course not quite) as good as my mother's cooking!Highly recommended.
My cousin took me to your restaurant and I have found it very cozy and the food home made and delicious. Thank you for this experience.
