Lulu was created with one end in mind - as an expression of all the pleasurable sensation of travel, with noisy bazaars, colourful silks, wine, olive oil, Mediterranean light... and abandoned palaces and hidden treasures in a tangle of winding streets.

Of course, such a venture needed a unique location, and the first-floor space, evoking a once glorious ballroom hung with chandeliers and wreathed in the rich aroma of exotic cigars, provides just that. It's building with history too - for this was once the home of a famous brothel in Krakow.

It's a real treasure trove for shoppers seeking something completely out of the ordinary, including furniture, lamps, candlesticks, chandeliers, pillows, natural French cosmetics from a small family firm, Art Nouveau glass, and much more.

While you are there, you will almost certainly want to linger a while and soak up the atmosphere, so it's handy that Lulu also has a bar offering coffee, wine and more, along with a selection of newspapers, magazines and albums.
