Pachnacy Sklepik ('Sweet-Smelling Shop'') brings a welcome ray of sunshine to this grand avenue that links the Old Town with Kazimierz. If the avenue continues to develop in this way (the splendid Pugetow Palace has also upped the tempo) Starowislna could reclaim its place as one of the finest in Cracow. In the meantime, ladies will love this charming little shop. It has everything from handmade soaps (you can sample them here in the shop) to natural candles. Above all there is an array of first-class cosmetics, including all manner of creams, lotions and other things which men don't understand. The shop stocks Indian cosmetics as well as natural oils for aromatherapy. There is a special little room where you sit back and sooth the body and soul amidst joss stick incence and ambient music. For present-hunting, you can also find an array of ceramics and glassware.
