The over 2 km long line of the modern cable cart to Mt. Jaworzyna (1114 m.) was opened in 1997, and since then it became on of Krynica's icons. The skiing season on Mt. Jaworzyna lasts from December to March, during which the snow frenzy fans can enjoy ski slopes of different difficulty level. The lower station building also includes a hotel as well as a restaurant and a ski shop.
But Mt. Jaworzyna is a great outdoor destination all year round; the top is an intersection of several tourist trails, not to mention a breathtaking panorama on the Tatra mountains. The mountain hostel is located on the northern slope of Jaworzyna, ca.2,5 h walk from the parking place.
