12. KLOVNBUF - International Festival of New Circus and Contemporary Clown (15 - 24 June)

Our world today is noise and chaos, disorder, lunacy … it’s like circus.

We are at liberty to do anything yet we have no freedom.

Let us step into another world.

Let us get away from this mad society, let us run off with the circus.

In a world which cannot be taken seriously, serious clowning is the sole salvation:

an art form that opens doors even where there aren’t any.

And this door is being opened with a bang in order to shake off any imposed ideas

about what is and what is not true.

In clowning, nothing is true yet everything is real:

noise turns into music, chaos becomes circus.

So, let us slam that door open and listen to the echo of Silence:

Bang! Boom! Boof! Klovnbuf!
