Not all Slovenians love horsemeat. It is not a traditional choice of meat, in fact it only recently became a trend due to tireless advertisement. I has been frowned upon for centuries (a horse was considered a noble creature) but became more widely consumed after ww2 as a result of food shortage, especially in larger cities (Ljubljana). Unfortunately it became a tourist attraction.
Janko, we did not change suppliers and I can assure our quality remains top class. All the others, thank you for your compliments, we try to do our best!
It used to be so good but then they changed suppliers and it's not that good anymore, actually I don't think I will eat one again.
I couldn't resist. @Mary, You're more than welcome to come and eat our kangaroos in Australia. We package them and sell them in the supermarket.
I apology for mary's crazy comment.. mary seems to be a "pollitically correct" naive USA girlie.... mary can not understand eating horses. mary seems too srupid and thinks horses are US-Animals and other "barbarian" countries are eating them.... Mary. different countries different habbits, marry accept that. OK? BTW - i do NOT eat horse meat.
