Great food, service, and ambiance. Outstanding dining experience while visiting in Ljubljana. Our waitperson was a female who is studying languages at Ljubljana University and speaks five languages. She made our experience even more special. Highly recommend if looking for options of both local cuisine and north american cuisine.
worst service in ljubljana. slow, unkind and tend to forget your orders.food was served cold and was pretty much unedible. I strongly recommend avoiding that restaurant, wich doesn't even deserve the name restaurant. not to mention the food is not even close to mexican tastes.
Drinks are ok but the food has nothing special, it doesn't taste close to mexican! And the waiters are nice but they are probably beginners, they look overwhelmed and often forget your order!
Oh yeah, the name. A history lesson: Seems 1867 was important to both Mexican and Slovenian history. In that year Maximilian I, Emperor of Mexico and brother of Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph I, and his army of 6,000 volunteers - including many Slovenians - lost the Mexican Civil War. The Slovenians who survived, preferring their homeland, returned there (to start this great Mexican restaurant!).
