England’s most famous concert hall, the Royal Albert Hall is a multi-purpose venue hosting everything from pop concerts to classical performances (though there are no orchestras in residence here). The striking, 19th century red brick building is in a similar style to its imposing neighbours such as the Natural History Museum, but it’s what’s inside that really draws the crowds. The Hall’s distinctive domed auditorium is best known as the home to the renowned BBC Proms summer concert series, but you can pretty much guarantee that any concert you experience in these grand surroundings will be one of the more memorable musical experiences you’ll come across.
