As Europe’s largest ferris wheel, the London Eye clocks in at a staggering 120 metres in diameter, and a ride round in one of its futuristic pods affords some of the most spectacular views of the city. The Eye is also London’s top paid tourist attraction and long queues are par for the course during the tourist high season. Those with little patience and a few extra pounds can purchase Fast Track tickets to speed through the queue, or simply purchase a Standard Ticket in advance online to avoid the initial queue to the ticket office. A full cycle on the London Eye lasts approximately 30 minutes.
