Editor's review
Sectioned off from a northern portion of Regent’s Park is London Zoo, one of the city’s most beloved family attractions. Many of the zoo’s buildings are protected pieces of heritage, such as the (now former) Penguin Pool " a grade I listed structure. Some of the most popular attractions at London Zoo are the Gorilla Kingdom, the Rainforest Life indoor exhibit, as well as the newly opened Penguin Beach. There’s plenty of pop culture intertwined with the zoo’s history as well " it was at the London Zoo’s Reptile House where a python first spoke to Harry Potter. Author A.A. Milne, who visited the zoo with his son Christopher Robin, was also inspired by a real-life black bear named Winnie for the character of Winnie-the-Pooh.
