Now one of London’s most iconic hotels, this Gothic-style mammoth stands alongside St Pancras and King’s Cross train stations. First built in the late 19th century, this George Gilbert Scott-designed gem ran as a hotel until 1935. After a long break and extensive renovations, St Pancras Renaissance has recently re-opened with sleek upgrades and modern amenities " without losing its Victorian charm, of course. The expanded hotel boasts over 200 rooms, though only about a quarter of these are located in the main, original building. It’s here where the old-school glamour truly shines, particularly in the grand staircase and main lobby, which combines modern design with railway chic.
