Editor's review
Quiet café by day, offbeat live music venue by night, Café Oto is one of London’s true gems. Situated on quiet Ashwin Street in the hip, scruffy neighbourhood of Dalston, Café Oto’s second-hand furniture and barebones décor wouldn’t look out of place in Berlin. The café generally closes in the late afternoon and reopens in the evening as a live music venue with a strong focus on experimental music. The world’s best artists in leftfield jazz, folk, electronic, and improv music can be heard at this intimate venue on a nearly daily basis. Working alongside another London institution, Wire Magazine, Café Oto is simply the best venue in the city for expanding your musical horizons.
