Located about 50 km northeast of central London, Stansted is London’s top budget carrier hub largely serving European destinations. In fact, Ryanair alone serves over 100 destinations at Stansted. However, despite serving low-cost airlines, there’s nothing shabby about Stansted - a modern building with all the usual amenities available from lounges to restaurants. The airport is also remarkably well connected, with the Stansted Express train service zipping to Liverpool Street station in central London in about 45 minutes. There are also several affordable (and comfortable) bus options available, including National Express, which connects to Liverpool Street station or Victoria station.
