The famous colourful doors and buildings of Notting Hill (perhaps made most famous in the Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant film of the same name) are a tourist draw in their own right. But when the market springs to life on Saturdays, Portobello Road can draw a serious crowd. There are a few distinct markets that make up Portobello Market as a whole, each with its own focus, such as the Antiques Market or the Fashion Market. Even if you can’t make it on a Saturday, many stalls (particularly the produce market) are open daily " not to mention the many charming shops and cute cafes along Portobello Road and across Notting Hill.
