For an introduction to times past, you could do a lot worse than head for The Royal Mansion, right on the Main Market Square. The imposing building has preserved some exquisite interiors, and the arcaded courtyard is itself an evocative throwback to the city's golden age. This building belonged to fabled Polish King Jan Sobieski, who was born in nearby Zolkiew in 1629. The interiors are riddled with charming paintings, furniture and trinkets.
