Rec Room will transport you back in time, to a "1970s basement", equipped with over 3000 records, the source of the spot's old school tunes. It's theoretically laid back, but the joint was inspired by the most exclusive, VIP hot spots in NYC - notably Amy Sacco's No. 8, the downstairs neighbor of NYC's RecRoom. Yet with no cover and no required celeb status, it is a place for everyone. Located in the Gale Hotel, Rec Room is only open Thursday through Saturday nights, but its reputation indicates that three nights a week is plenty - put your dancing shoes on!
