The city's go-to centre for hosting large-scale concerts and major sporting events, the Minsk Arena has already seen performances by the likes of Elton John and Moby, as well as games from its home hockey team Minsk Dynamo. Built in 2009, the Arena's complex also holds a skating stadium, velodrome, and fitness centre, and is overall the most modern and largest sporting centre of its kind in Belarus. Its main space can hold over 15 000 people in the stands. Getting to the arena, roughly 7km from the city centre, can be a little tricky via public transportation so it's best to take a taxi.
