Tucked away in the picturesque and almost Parisian streets behind the Bolshoi Ballet & Opera, Gurman is a typical example of this growing city's clashes between the past and the present. Despite its location on a street called Kommunisticheskaya (Communist Street), Gurman is a modern, stylish restaurant with a perfectly up-to-date menu. International dishes from Indian curry to Italian ravioli are reliably delicious, and the service and atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Along with the reasonable prices and pleasant street-side patio, its no wonder that Gurman has locals coming back again and again.
