Editor's review
Now an iconic Minsk structure, the diamond-shaped National Library of Belarus is a striking 22-story-high building complete with observation deck on the top floor. The building itself is surrounded by perfectly manicured parkland and even a small pond. Inside, the high-tech library holds 8 million items and is the home of the third largest collection of Russian books in the world. While you have to be a registered member to enter the library, everyone is welcome to the observation deck on top of the building, which is one of the essential sights in Minsk. Follow the arrows around the back of the building, pay a small fee, and take the elevator to the top and enjoy the stunning panorama of Minsk and the forest that surrounds the city.
