The best shopping centre in downtown Minsk, Stolica is a four-floor shopper's paradise located underground, beneath Independence square just off of Lenina metro station. It's not often shopping centres are a pleasure to look at, but with its bright, modern design and the sunny, circular atrium, a visit to Stolica is almost relaxing. With over one hundred shops and boutiques, the mall also offers several food and drink options, as well as services such as beauty salons. In terms of shops, the vast majority are local shops or chains better-known in Eastern Europe, but there are a few familiar faces such as women's clothes shop Mango. Don't forget that Stolica is also a great place for souvenir shopping for Belarusian specialties such as handicrafts or chocolates.
