There are plenty of shops around Minsk selling souvenirs, but Minsky Vernisazh is undoubtedly the most pleasant way to shop for local wares. Squeezed between the Trade Union Palace and the Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum on Oktyabrskaya Square, Minsky Vernisazh is clearly a market aimed squarely at tourists. But with all the local specialities from artworks to linen tablecloths on sale, it's simply the most convenient spot to get all your souvenir shopping done. Market stall owners follow their own opening hours, despite the fact that the market is advertised to be open from 10am - 4pm. It's best to arrive around noon for the best selection.
