Pourboire is a delightful French restaurant just West of the Golden Ring, moulded in the style of a 1920s Parisien brasserie. High ceilings, ornately-framed mirrors, and bustling Gallic service create the perfect environs for sampling some haute cuisine, suitably washed down with Bordeaux's finest grape-juice. In fact the food and atmosphere is so well done that diners here are likely to find themselves rubbing shoulders with the city's French community, who have taken to patronising the restaurant. As any wordsmith will tell you the name 'pourboire' derives from the tip given to waiters for a drink... However if there are no etymologists at your table, we're sure the garcon will spell it out for you!
